Sharon Kennedy - Brief Biography
From an early age Sharon knew that her calling was to do some kind of healing work. At 16 she became a nursing cadet, at 18 she began her training to become a nurse. After qualifying she worked in hospitals in the U.K.
During 1975 with her husband, Pete, and their two daughters, the move was made to Mwinilunga in the North West Province of Zambia. Her husband taught at Mwinilunga Secondary Boarding school, Sharon ran the school Clinic.
It was during this time she realized there was more to health than just looking after the “body.” She witnessed the power of sangomas and traditional witch doctors. What she saw endorsed her belief that we are perfect unique beings in perfect unique bodies and that we all have extra-ordinary power to stay that way. It is this power which, when given the opportunity, keeps us in vibrant health and vitality.
Sharon now works from “Lavender Cottage” situated in the garden of her home. The cottage provides a tranquil space for all types of healing. The treatments are performed with love, and laughter. Sharon believes that the energy raised by laughter allows the soul to find the strength and courage to heal itself.
